Puppy Lessons (Kindergarten)
Puppy lessons are offered to owners and their puppies that are between the ages of 8-16 weeks. Owners learn to use positive techniques to motivate their puppy, and exercises to help you in your role with your puppy. Puppies and their families are encouraged to attend so you can all gain in the experience, as socialization and learning is critical in these early classes. We help with housetraining, nipping, barking, chewing and good grooming techniques. There are activities that increase your pups confidence and learning experiences as well as great fun.
Puppy kindergarten is the most critical class for owners to attend due to the age of your puppy. These classes promote temperament exercises that can prevent future dog problems. Help and guidance will have an everlasting effect your dogs development.

Private Lessons - We offer owners who prefer not to attend class or whose lifes routines cannot conform to class schedules. We offer you the opportunity to learn positive techniques to help you motivate your dog and strengthen your bond. You will learn how to teach your dog so that he or she can understand, teach your dog exercises that are benefitial and learn leadership exercises that will help establish your role with your dog. We will set up a training program to meet your training goals for you and your dogs needs. Private lessons are offered for owners and any aged dog. No dog is too old to learn.

Walk and Train Program - We can help owners with training their dogs by having your dog walked by the trainer. This kills two birds with one stone so to speak. Your dog get physical and mental stimulation while learning how to walk nicely on leash.
Walk with me please! - This class is dedicated to teaching you how to get your dog to walk on a loose lead. We will spend five weeks teaching you how to building your dog's understanding of a loose lead. A four week lesson plan.

Behaviour Counseling We offer owners who are experiencing specific behavioural problems with their dog the opportunity to learn positive and science based techniques to solve these problems. The first consultation involves taking a complete history in order for us to establish the specific triggers and problems we would be working with. At that time Walkabout Canine Consulting will address your goals and will work towards setting up a program that would then suit you and your dogs needs.

Pre-Ownership Consults Deciding on the selection of a new dog or puppy can be a huge task. We are available to consult on pre-owning a puppy or dog to maximize the best results for you and your family. This will include selecting the appropriate breed, discussions about breed behaviours, your goals and expectations, advice on trips to professional breeders or nearby shelters, how to get ready for your new pet, and an after you get your pet consult.
