Sylvia Koczerzuk is the owner and operator of Walkabout Canine Consulting.  She has owned and operated Walkabout Canine Consulting (Walkabout Services) since 1995 providing clients with training, pet sitting, dog walking and grooming services.  Sylvia has worked as a  veterinary receptionist in several veterinary clinics where she started to learn about animal behaviour from veterinary behaviourists and has organized and operated training classes as well as individualized training sessions and behaviour counselling. 
Sylvia commits to teaching owners how to use positive techniques, based on learning theory, in managing their dogs' behaviour in order to maximize the pet-owner experience with a minimum of concerns created by undesirable behaviour. Dog training has changed so much and we are seeing better, kinder and more effective methods for us to use with our dog(s).  
Sylvia is proud to use her skills, knowledge and experiences together in offering the combination of services to help with your dogs mental and physical wellness.

Sylvia Koczerzuk is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Skills Assessed (CCPDT), a Certified Dog Behaviour Consultant (IAABC), a Counseling Graduate of the prestigious San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers (SF/SPCA) and a Anaesthesia Free Canine Dental Practitioner through the Well Animal Institue.  She continues to attend continueing education seminars and workshops which focus on currect dog training, canine behaviour disciplines, as well as animal wellness programs.  Aside from her business, she is currently pursueing a degree in psychology.
